Important Notice: CSF Has Reached End of Life
We also want to inform our customers that ConfigServer Security & Firewall (CSF) — a long-used security tool on many cPanel servers — has officially as of August 31, 2025, reached End of Life (EOL). This means it is no longer being actively maintained or updated, and relying on it leaves your server and sites increasingly vulnerable to modern threats.
What This Means for Shared Hosting Customers
If you’re using one of our shared hosting plans on a Linux/cPanel server, you don’t need to take any immediate action. We’re already installing an alternative firewall at the server level to maintain your protection as CSF is phased out.
However, shared customers who want additional, proactive protection for their individual domains — especially if running eCommerce sites, handling user data, or simply wanting a stronger line of defense — may want to consider adding Monarx. It’s a lightweight, powerful security tool that works alongside the server’s firewall to provide site-specific protection and automated malware cleanup.
What this means for VPS Customers
If you have a Linux VPS package using cPanel/WHM, you may technically continue using the existing CSF, or upon request, we can replace with the opensource community version- but as neither will receive regular updates we highly recommend adding Imunify360, a modern, fully supported security platform designed specifically for VPS environments. With tools like Web scanners included it is a great option for any user wanting an up-to-date product instead of relying on CSF after EOL. CSF will no longer be updated, and so new threats, and potentially many old threats could go undetected.
