We’re excited to announce the launch of Monarx, a new domain protection solution now available to customers using Linux-based cPanel/WHM hosting.
Monarx is not your average security tool. It’s an AI-powered, proactive protection system that keeps your website safe by detecting and neutralizing threats before they can do damage. Unlike traditional firewalls or malware scanners that only react after something goes wrong, Monarx works in real time to monitor, block, and automatically clean most types of malicious activity.

For our VPS customers, If you’re hosting one to four websites or have even a single website that needs extra protection, Monarx is a smart and affordable upgrade. It works silently in the background to keep your files clean, your site secure, and your peace of mind intact.
Please note: Monarx is only available for Linux servers running cPanel/WHM. Customers on Windows hosting are not affected by this update or eligible for this product.
Important Notice: CSF Has Reached End of Life
We also want to inform our customers that ConfigServer Security & Firewall (CSF) — a long-used security tool on many cPanel servers — has officially as of August 31, 2025, reached End of Life (EOL). This means it is no longer being actively maintained or updated, and relying on it leaves your server and sites increasingly vulnerable to modern threats.
What This Means for Shared Hosting Customers
If you’re using one of our shared hosting plans on a Linux/cPanel server, you are not required to take any immediate action. We’re implementing an alternative firewall at the server level to maintain our basic protections as CSF is phased out.
However, please note that server-level firewalls like these are not designed to protect individual websites from malware or vulnerabilities in code. It’s essential that customers take steps to secure their own sites. This includes performing regular vulnerability scans, keeping software up to date, and considering additional protection services such as Monarx for enhanced site-level security.
What this means for VPS Customers
If you have a Linux VPS package using cPanel/WHM, you may technically continue using the existing CSF, or upon request, we can replace with the opensource community version- but neither will receive regular updates.
However, taking advantage of our Monarx product can add various useful layers of protection to your VPS. For example, even though the VPS gives more isolation than shared hosting, you’re still vulnerable to web‑application exploits, zero‑day plugin vulnerabilities, brute force attempts, things like that. Monarx covers both website layer and server layer, so it adds a layer of defense that you might not have if you just rely on “normal” server hardening. At the server layer, Monarx goes deeper by detecting and stopping threats that traditional website scanners miss. This includes in-memory malware, which doesn’t leave visible files, and malicious background processes, like crypto miners or bots. It also scans for malicious cron jobs that can reinfect a website on a schedule, and removes hidden persistence mechanisms that attackers use to regain access after cleanup.
Also, VPS owners should consider performance: you don’t have to worry about a security agent hogging resources. Monarx says the agent is “very low resource utilization” and designed to run “continually” without heavy load. On top of that, reducing the number of infections or malicious hits saves resources (bandwidth, CPU, memory) so it helps stability of your VPS.
