Hostek’s North American & European Staff Meetup: 2025

At Hostek, we’re more than just a team of remote employees — we’re a family that spans across countries, time zones, and coffee preferences. While we work virtually year-round, we also know how important it is to connect face-to-face. That’s why last month, we hosted our North American Staff Meetup — a chance for our U.S team members to swap emojis for actual smiles and spend some real time together.

Thursday: Travel Day!

On Thursday, our team members flew in from all over North America. For some, it was the first time ever meeting in person after years of Zoom calls, Slack messages, and remote collaboration. For others who used to work together in person before we became fully remote, it felt like a long-overdue reunion. Hugs were shared, and so were plenty of laughs as we kicked off the weekend with dinner.

Friday: Working Together in IRL

Friday morning, we gathered in one shared office space to work side-by-side — a refreshing change from our usual digital environment. It was incredible to see the collaboration, brainstorming, and problem-solving happening in real-time. Even the usual tasks felt extra special with teammates just a desk away.

Thanks for being part of our journey — we’re excited to keep growing, connecting, and serving you with the same dedication and heart that drives everything we do.
Until next time,

Friday Night: Dinner, Games & Good Times

That evening, the fun really kicked off! We headed to a local entertainment spot that had bowling, arcade games, pool tables, and great food. Let’s just say: competitive spirits were high, and so was the laughter. Some of us showed off serious skills (and a few lucky strikes), while others discovered a hidden talent for pool or zombie blasting.

It wasn’t just fun and games — it was about building deeper connections with the people we work with every day and their families from home. Sharing a meal, celebrating wins, and just being present reminded us how special our team really is.

A Global Family

Hostek is proudly made up of passionate people from all over the globe. We believe that nurturing a strong work-life balance and meaningful relationships is key to our success. This North American meetup was just the beginning — our International Staff Meetup was a few weeks later! Members from places like England and Bulgaria were able to enjoy some of the same activities. Check out their interviews below!

   Meet Konstantin ( Bulgaria)

Tasha- “ Hello, Konstantin. Thank you so much for joining us. I just have a few questions here so our customers can get to know you on a deeper level. First, let’s start off. What’s your position at Hostek, and how long have you been working here? “

Konstantin- “I’ve been in Hostek for 4 years and my position is a TX2 team lead. I basically watch over everybody and I want to get the job done. I want to see the company succeed. I want everybody to be happy at the same time because Hostek is a wonderful environment where everybody is a vital team member. Everybody contributes and I’m super happy to be steering people in the right direction.”

Tasha- “Thank you. Well, wonderful. I feel the same way. I’m glad you do. How have you worked for a position like this before?”

Konstantin- “Yes, I have around 10 years of experience in IT. I’ve worked with around five or six companies. I’ve worked for HP, GXC, Go Daddy, but nothing compares to Hostek because Hostek has that feeling where you get from watching a TV series like the office. Everybody is a character and everybody contributes and everybody is a vital part of the team. I love working here and that’s why I’m super committed. “

Tasha- “We love to hear it! Well, let me ask you. I mean, it sounds like you already answered this mostly, but what do you think about working for an international company?”

Konstantin- “It’s great. I love international cultures. I travel a lot. I see all kinds of people. I love what they can contribute with their experience because everybody has a different view about the world.  You don’t know what you’re going to get with people. Most people are loving people and they want to have a good time and I feel like everybody is like a super loving person because they know that they have to be respectful. They have to be professional. They have to be like a vital part of the team and everybody has different views that I enrich myself with.”

Tasha- ”Thank you for that. I can definitely agree that with the international company, I’ve met and learned so much about different places. Just getting to know people around the world, having conversations, we laugh, and we can bring up things about our country’s that are different or the same. It’s great. “

Konstantin- “Yeah. Everybody has a fun perspective about the world and you never know what you’re going to get. It’s like a box of chocolates. “

Tasha- “Ha ha ha. I love the Forest Gump reference there at the end. Last question, is there anything you want to say to our Hostek customers that may be reading this?”

Konstantin- “I want to say that if they join our family, they’re going to feel at home because the only thing we want is for their success to be our success. For their business to thrive. That way, we all grow as people, as a business, and as a company. Also, I value our customers so much because I have go to know them after all these years. I see them multiple times so I know what they want and I know what they need and I’m really happy to get them going on their merry way. Just like everybody else in the world. Everybody wants to succeed and we’re happy to help them along the way and that’s our job.“

Tasha – “What a great answer. Well, thank you so much Konstantin for sitting down with me and you have a great rest of your night.”

Meet Vlad (Bulgaria)

Tasha- “ Hello, Vlad. Thank you so much for joining us. We’re just going to sit down and talk about a few things about you so our customers can get to know you. Let’s start off. What is your position and how long have you been working at Hostek?”

Vlad- “I’m a technical support level 3 representative and I’ve been working in the course of the past two years and three months.”

Tasha- “Have you worked a position like this before?”

Vlad- ”Yes, yes. I was a customer support representative of my previous hosting company and a phone rep as well.”

Tasha- “ Great. Great. And what do you think about Hostek so far?”

Vlad- “ All it’s wonderful. The team is awesome. The clients are chill. And just the whole atmosphere is awesome.”

Tasha -” Awesome. And can you tell us a little bit about yourself?”

Vlad- “Yeah, sure. So, I pretty much grew up in Greece, but I was born in Bulgaria. After I finished school in Greece, I decided to go back and go here and study English. And while I was in university, I picked up a part-time job at a hosting company. And from there, I fell in love with the technical skills, starting up new skills. And from there, I just went on and went into a technical world.”

“Wow. I’m glad it led you with us. What do you think about working for an international company?”

Vlad- “ Well, I think it’s awesome. I get to meet people from all around the world. We collaborate with each other and help out others. So I love it.”

Tasha- “Awesome. Well, thank you for that. I have to agree. It really encourages a collaborative environment. And it’s with people that are in different cultures. And you kind of get to come together. I really enjoy it myself too. One final thing. What do you want to say, or what do you want the Hostek customers to know?”

Vlad- “ We’re always there for them. So if they have any kind of issues or just simple questions or even the most complicated tasks, they can always come to us 24-7 and we’re always going to help them out immediately.”

Tasha- “ Well, thank you for sitting down with me, Vlad. I really enjoyed speaking with you. Have a good rest of your night.”

Meet Jaime ( USA)

Tasha- “Hello, Jamie. Thank you so much for sitting down with me. We’re just going to go over who you are at the company, what it means to the customers, and your overall feelings and vibes with the team so far. So first, I just want to start off with when you started with Hostek.“

Jaime- “Thank you for speaking with me. I started with Hostek in November of 2019.”

Tasha- “Oh, wonderful. Wow. So, you’ve been here a while.“

Jaime- “Yes. I have.”

Tasha- “All right. Wonderful. what is your position at Hostek?“

Jaime- “So I am the billing manager for Hostek.”

Tasha- “Oh, Awesome. So, if anyone ever has any issues that can’t be solved by the quick first response from our tech support incoming team, you’re there to help them with their billing matters. And did you always have that type of position before, or is this your first time being in this role?“

Jaime- “This is my first time actually being in this role. Previously with Hostek, I was part of their customer service team. So, I did lvl 1 support, as well as, just basic customer service, and then it switched over to doing some of the billing as well before I fully migrated over to just being billing.”

Tasha- “Wow well that makes a lot of sense because you really are great at your job and I think we all here at Hostek notice that.“

Jaime- “Thank you.”

Tasha- “let me ask you, what’s your favorite part about working with Hostek?”

Jaime- “Favorite part would have to be working with all the different customers that we have from all over.”

Tasha- “Oh yeah, that’s a great point. Thank you for adding that. And I guess one of my final questions would be, is there anything that you want our customers to know about you?”

Jaime- “That I’m committed to helping them in any way that I can. I know that it may not always seem like I’m doing what they need, but I do try to get them everything that they want, whether it’s a credit on their account, or refund, or a new service added, I do try to help them every time that they ask.”

Tasha- “Oh, I love that, and I see that from you, and I think our customers do too. Well thank you so much for sitting down with me. You keep at it! Until we talk again.”

Jaime- “Thank you Tasha.”

Meet Jesse (USA)

Tasha- “Hey, thank you so much for joining me, Jesse. We’re just going to go ahead and go over just a few things about your position, what Hostek means to you, and your role in the company. Let’s just start off. What is your position at Hostek, and when did you start?

Jesse- “I’m a TX1 support agent. I started in June of 2024.”

Tasha – “Oh wonderful. Great. And how have you liked it so far? How is Hostek in your opinion?”

Jesse- “I’ve been in the web hosting industry since I was 15 years old. I’ve worked for half a dozen companies and Post Tech is honestly one of the best companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for.”

Tasha- “Wow. You know, I have got to say, I totally agree. I haven’t worked for any hosting companies before, but this company really does have a way of making you feel like a human and respected, and I’m all here for it. Wonderful. So far, what’s your favorite thing about working with the host tech customers? “

Jesse- “I’d say the flexibility. I’m allowed to be myself rather than just another chat agent number. I can talk to people on a personal level rather than reading from a script.”

Tasha “Oh, that’s for sure. They definitely do push us into not giving these scripted robotic answers. So I have to agree with you there. And I guess what I’ll ask finally is if you wanted to say something to our Hostek family, what would you say?”

Jesse- “Oh, no…. Umm ….haha”
*Pause*
“ Don’t tell Josh that I signed him up for AARP.”

Tasha- “HAHAHA I love that and you know what I think our customers will love that too considering Josh is our Director of North America and we always like to give him a little hard time. Well Jesse, thank you so much man for giving your time and you have a good night perfect thank you”
